Serve the Community
Love and serve the Lord!
At St James, we are committed to serving our community! We believe this is what God expects us to do. Jesus taught us to pray “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is heaven.” How would the world look if God’s will was done on earth? The hungry would be fed. The oppressed would be liberated. The lonely would be loved.
We offer many opportunities throughout the year to serve God by serving others! We harvest fruit with Iskashitaa, make PB&J’s for Casa Maria, serve at Holaway Elementary School, volunteer at the Community Foodbank, collect Christmas gifts for foster kids with AVIVA Children’s Services, and more! Click the ‘Get Involved’ button below to be added to our email news list. That’s the best way to stay current on volunteer opportunities!
Donate items to our church food pantry. Call the church (327-5989) to arrange drop-off, or simply come by any time the pantry is open! If you or someone you know could use help from the food pantry, call that same number. The pantry is open on Tuesday from 7am to 4pm and Thursday from 9am to 4pm and 5:15-7:15pm. A list of items we use can be found HERE.
