I have no idea where the photo above was taken, but it looks like a LOT of the road I saw driving to and from Moab, Utah last week!
Anyway, just a couple of items for this week.
1-United Way Days of Caring is coming up later this fall–November 1-2. This is an annual volunteer opportunity with MANY different projects to choose from. I am purposely not trying to organize a church event for this. I am encouraging you to scroll through the projects, pick one that appeals to you, and sign up and go out and BE the church that weekend! Yes, feel free to get some family members or friends to go with you! Let’s live out the words of Jesus: “…let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
2-Connie Wallace, a faithful volunteer with our Holaway breakfasts, has recently undergone surgery. Please pray for her.
3-Our bishop in the Desert Southwest Conference of the United Methodist Church has received a new assignment. Carlo A. Rapanut is still our bishop, but has added the New Mexico Conference to his responsibilities. HERE is a video about this transition.
I’ll See You Sunday!
Pastor Richard
PS: Church Conference, the annual church business meeting, will be held Monday September 23 at 7pm in the Tatom Room.
