Socks and Undies 500 is a Tucson community-wide drive to collect socks, underwear, diapers, and wipes to benefit Aviva Children’s Services. Aviva serves foster children and their care-giving families in Southern Arizona.
Last year, Aviva distributed more than 22,000 pairs of socks and undies and over 29,000 diapers and wipes to children in foster care. With many of our families under financial constraints, we are seeing a greater need for these items. This is where you come in, dear friends! We need YOUR help to ensure our closet is fully stocked so no child goes without these basic necessities.
Donate new underwear, socks, bras, diapers, and wipes for youth and children in foster care.
There are two ways to participate.
1-Shop for new items and bring them to church and place them in the collection bin in the entrance to the church.
2-Shop online from Target or Amazon and the items will be automatically shipped to Aviva! Here are the links to the wish lists:
Checkered flag awards will be given to those who collect 500 or more pairs. We want a checkered flag at St James! The collection drive lasts until May 15. Feel free to share this with others!
