Our next online Bible study is ‘Praying the Psalms’ and will begin on July 15. We will meet via Zoom, a video chat application. Our meetings will be Wednesday evenings at 7pm
The Psalms are the prayer book of the Bible–the prayer book that Jesus used in his worship and meditation. And most of the Psalms are prayers. The Psalms encompass the entire spectrum of human experience and emotion. Some of the Psalms may make you a little uncomfortable. How can I incorporate this rich, ancient prayer practice into my life? We will explore this together!
Each week there will be an article to read, a set of Psalms to read, and a prayer practice to try. We will meet online for discussion and sharing. All of the resources will be posted here and there is a Facebook group called St James Bible Study–join the group! The resources and assignments will also be posted there and the Facebook group is a venue for discussion also!
