Baptism

God’s gift to us, a life connected in faith

Getting Baptized at St James

In the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, “we are initiated into Christ’s holy church, … incorporated into God’s mighty acts of salvation and given new birth through water and the Spirit,” the Introduction to the Baptismal Covenant says.

All this is God’s gift, offered to us without price.”

Baptism in the United Methodist Church is a sacrament. That means that God’s grace comes to us through baptism–God is acting in our baptism.

Baptism is for anyone who has not yet been baptized. We baptize adults, infants, children, and teens!

You can contact Pastor Richard to find out more and discover a new life in Christ through the sacrament of baptism.
